From Cave Junction, Travel south on Highway 199 to County Road 5560. Follow 5560 south until it becomes the State of Jefferson Scenic Byway. Follow this byway southeast to Happy Camp Road #48. Follow 48 east to Forest Service Road #4812. Follow 4812 east to Forest Service Road #040. Take 040 north to Bolan Lake where the trail begins.
Location Information
The Bolan Lake Trail offers fishing and camping at the Bolan Lake Campground. There is a boat ramp at Bolan Lake as well, but no motors are allowed. Bolan Mountain has an operating lookout during the fire season.
