Location Information
Tannen Lakes Trail is a heavily wooded trail within the Red Buttes Wilderness Area. The area provides good fishing lakes in a scenic high mountain environment with a wide variety of wildflowers that can be viewed in the spring and summer months. Tie trail #1243A makes a loop back to road #041. A loop opportunity also exists by combining this trail with the West end of Boundary Trail #1207, Road #570, and Road #041. There are some spectacular views from Road #1207 along the South side of Tannen Mountain.
