Location Information
The Chetco Gorge Trail follows gentle grades as it winds along the Chetco River. It makes an enjoyable day hike, with some picnicking and camping spots at the trails end. As the trail is close to the mouth of Eagle Creek, there are good fishing and swimming spots. Care should be taken to avoid poison oak. Note: Fording of Chetco River is only safe during low water periods, usually late spring to early fall.
