Directions
From Brookings, Travel south on Highway 101 to County Road 896 (Winchuck Road). Follow 896 east, which becomes Forest Service Road #1107, to road #1108. Go past Ludlum House and take access road to the trailhead (17 miles from Brookings) across Wheeler Creek.
Location Information
The Chimney Camp Trail follows an old road route along Wheeler Creek, providing a shaded day hike/ride in a riparian environment. The trail crosses a few small side creeks and has two fords (no bridge) crossing of Wheeler Creek near the northern trailhead on Forest Service Road #1205. Fording is not recommended during the winter.
