From Estacada, Travel southeast on Highway 224 to Forest Service Road 4614. Follow 4614 east, across the forest boundary, and 6.5 miles past a fork in the road where the road connects with Squaw Mountain Road. At this point, is a trail that crosses the road. Follow this trail until its junction with the Old Baldy Trail #502. Follow Old Baldy 1.5 miles to the Eagle Creek Cutoff Trail.
Location Information
The Eagle Creek Cutoff Trail is rugged due to receiving sporadic maintenance over the last few years. A good viewpoint affords hikers at about 0.7 miles from the trail's intersection with Old Baldy Trail #502 overlooking the Eagle Creek drainage. This trail is located within the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness.
