Location Information
Salmon Creek Falls Campground is located 4 miles east of Oakridge at an elevation of 1,500 feet. This campground has 15 sites with trailer space, fire rings and tables. Potable water and toilets are available. There is a recycling center at this campground. This campground is located in a beautiful, lush, old growth forest right along Salmon Creek. The rocky gorge-like area creates two small beautiful waterfalls and several deep pools which reflect the clear blue-green waters. Springtime brings a full range of wildflowers along the rocky banks as well as in the woods and meadows. Wild thimbleberries and hazelnuts abound in the summer. In the years past, Salmon Creek supplied water for the City of Oakridge. The remains of some old wooden, wire-wrapped water pipes can still be seen. Today, the area is a favorite recreation spot for local residents as well as some more distant travelers.
