Location Information
Box Canyon Horse Camp is located approximately 30.5 miles southeast of Blue River at an elevation of 3,600 feet. This campground has 14 sites with trailer space, fire rings, corrals and tables. Toilets are available, but there is no potable water.

Box Canyon Horse Camp is being developed to provide convenient access for equestrians to both wilderness and undeveloped roadless areas west of the Cascade crest. Groves of conifers and scattered tranquil meadows make an appealing setting for both hikers and pack saddle enthusiasts. The surrounding area is historically significant and information may be obtained from the Blue River Ranger District or the Box Canyon Guard Station (when occupied, usually 6/15 - 9/15), adjacent to the horse camp.
