From Prospect, Travel northeast on Highway 230 to its junction with Highway 138. Continue on 138 north to Road 2610. Turn right and follow 2610 north to Road 2614. Turn right and follow 2614 east to Road 430. Turn left and follow 430 to the campground on the right.
Location Information
The East Lemolo Campground, located in a cluster of clearings in the lodgepole pine forest along the southeast shore of Lemolo Reservoir, is a favorite with fishermen and sandpipers. The lake contains Kokanee, Eastern Brook, and a few Rainbow trout. Large German brown trout are wild native fish and can be taken on troll and fly. Waterskiing is a popular activity on portions of the lake whose depth exceeds 100 feet in places.
Facilities at the campground include picnic tables, fire rings and vault toiletsAdditional facilities in the Lemolo Lake Recreation Area include the Poole Creek Forest Service Campground with 59 camping units, the Bunker Hill Forest Service Campground with 8 camping units, and the Inlet Forest Service Campground with 14 camping units. A full service resort operating under special use permit from the Umpqua National Forest including: Motel units and Swiss chalets, restaurant, lounge, groceries,gasoline, propane, fishing licenses, boat rentals and boat ramp is in the area as well. Finally, there is also an RV park which includes: full hookup or electricity and water hookup only, dump station, bathrooms,showers and Landromat for guests.
