From Hebo, Travel south on Highway 22, past Castle Rock Campground, to Forest Route 2234. Follow 2234 north to Forest Route 2282. Follow 2282 north to Forest Route 2210. Follow 2210 north to Forest Route 1428, which leads to the campground. The campground is 13 miles off of Highway 22.
Location Information
South Lake Campground is a popular site for hunting and fishing. The lake is periodically stocked with trout. In addition, the campground is the trailhead for the south end of the Pioneer-Indian Trail that ends at Hebo Lake Campground. The only facility is a vaulted toilet.
