Continue on 30 for approximately 11 miles, past the Paradise Creek Campground and Oldman Pass, to Forest Route 3053. Follow 3053 southwest until it ends at the trailhead for McClellan Meadows.
Location Information
Valley Ski Trail begins across Highway 30 opposite Oldman Pass Sno-Park. The trail is recommended for skiers with good downhill/uphill skills because steep hills require quick reactions and skill. The trail passes through the forest, descends into the Wind River Valley, and crosses a rough hewn bridge over the Wind River. After the bridge it climbs up to a clear-cut and intersects with Forest Route 3053. Many options exist to ski several different loops using this trail and connecting to Snofoot Trail #148, Snofoot Trail #150, or McClellan Meadows Trail #157 by using Forest Route 3053.
