Directions
From Trout Lake, Travel north on Primary Forest Route 23 to Forest Route 80. Follow 80 north across the forest boundary to Forest Route 8020. Follow 8020 northeast, past Forest Routes 021 and 020 to Forest Route 150. Take 150 northeast about one mile to the trailhead.
Location Information
Snipes Mountain Trail leaves Forest Route 150 and climbs through open pine forests and across rocky slopes. The trail parallels the Yakima Indian Reservation boundary for one mile before ending at the junction with Round the Mountain Trail #9.

Along this lightly used trails are the Aiken Lava Bed and meadows. The Aiken Lave Bed is four-miles long and approximately one-half mile wide. The lava bed was formed by an eruption of Mt. Adams between 4,000 and
2,000 years ago.
