Directions
From Leadville, From Harrison Street turn on to West Sixth Street to County Road 4. Make a right on to County Road 4 and drive to County Road 9 and the Sugarloaf Dam Site. From the Dam drive 4 miles to Hagerman Pass Road. Hagerman Pass Road will be on the left or south side of County Road 9. Drive approximately 3.5 miles to the Native LakeTrailhead. The first 3.5 miles of Hagerman Pass Road are improved so a 2WD vehicle should be sufficient to reach this trailhead.
Location Information
Trailhead is accessed from the Hagerman Pass Road (Forest Road #105). Although much of this trail is below tree line, there are segments above tree line with high exposure. Use extra caution in these areas. Native Lake is catch and release fishing only.
