Location Information
The Roubideau Trail begins at the Mesa Ranger Station and winds south thirty miles to connect the Transfer Road on the Eastern Rim of Roubideau Canyon. The southern five miles of this trail is the most popular section for recreation. Most use occurs during big game season. From Transfer Road, the trail follows an old four wheel drive road to Roubideau Creek. Grades and layout are good except for a steep 1/2 mile section from the junction with Pool Creek Trail west. Total travel is four miles. Best camp locations are along Roubideau and Pool Creeks and at the lower end of Goddard Creek.
