Directions
From Carson, Travel north on the Wind River Highway (County Route 30) to the forest boundary. Continue on 30 for approximately 11 miles, past the Paradise Creek Campground and Oldman Pass, to Forest Route 3053. Follow 3053 southwest until it ends at the trailhead.
Location Information
From McClellan Meadows Sno-Park in the winter time, ski 1.5 miles south on Forest Route 3053 to the trailhead at the end of the road. Steep grades, unbridged stream crossings and the length make this a challenging trail for skiers with excellent skills. A detailed topographic map and compass are needed for this trail, since it is not groomed. In addition, it is a difficult trail for experienced hikers and bikers in the spring/summer time.
