Directions
From Morton, Travel east on U.S. Highway 12 for approximately five miles to Forest Route 27. Follow 27 south until it becomes Forest Route 2750. Follow 2750 south for another 2-3 miles to the trailhead.
Location Information
Goat Creek Trail quickly joins Goat Creek after an unforgettable waterfall experience. The trail follows Goat Creek upstream to junction with Tumwater Trail #218. The trail then turns west and ascends the west fork Goat Creek drainages, crossing tributaries with waterfalls. The trail crosses the creek twice in its ascent. The switchback up through the forest offers an opening of views to the forested drainage below. The trail passes next to open meadows and rock cliffs as it joins Goat Mountain. Trail #217 just south of Vanson Peak.
