From Globe, Drive south on Forest Route 112 for about 3.5 miles to Forest Route 55. Turn southwest and travel on 55 to its junction with Forest Route 651. Follow 651 to its fork 651C. The trail starts 3/10th of a mile east of Ferndell Trailhead.
Location Information
From east to west the trail shows a continuum of areas disturbed by man and reclaimed by mother nature to areas of near pristine forest. The trail connects the Sixshooter National Recreation Trail #197 and the Pineline Trail #193. It provides a connection between the trails on the north side of the Pinals and those on the south. From a small parking spur on the 651C road 3/10th of a mile east of the turnoff to Ferndell Trailhead, the trail goes west following the driveway of a burned out summer home until just beyond the intersection with the Sixshooter National Recreation Trail #197. It continues generally west becoming a constructed foot path. Near this midpoint it crosses the 651 road at the ruins of the Girl Scout Camp, Then continues west and connects with the Pineline Trail.
