Directions
From Loyalton, Travel south on County Road #4860 for approximately 8 miles. Turn left on County Road #5560 and travel 3 miles to the trailhead.
Location Information
Badenbaugh Trail is a very difficult 2 mile trail at an elevation of 6,600 feet. This trail climbs steeply through thick coniferous forest and ends at the Babbitt Peak Fire Lookout. Outstanding views of the eastern California and western Nevada panorama are usually visible. A few campsites with water are located near the trailhead, but water is scarce near the summit. Plants and wildlife are plentiful.
