Directions
From LA Basin, Drive south on I-15 to Highway 79 South (Temecula). Follow Hwy. 79 approx. 43 miles southeast through Warner Springs to the junction with S2. Follow S2 east 4 miles to the junction with S22. Follow S22 east 1 mile. Trailhead parking is on the right along the road.
Location Information
GENERAL INFORMATION: This section of the Pacific Crest Trail extends from Scissors Crossing (at the junction of Highway 78 and S2) north along a VERY DRY portion of the trail called San Felipe Hills to the Montezuma Valley Road (S22). The southern segment traverses Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and the entire section offers great views into the desert. You MUST carry a lot of water as none is available along the entire 25 miles.
