Directions
From LA Basin, Drive south on I-15 to Highway 76 (Oceanside-Pala exit). Head east on Highway 76 to S6 and drive north toward Palomar Mountain. Follow S6 to Fry Creek Campground. Trailhead parking is just outside the campground along S6 (trail users may not use the campground for parking). The trailhead is located near the campground fee station just inside the entrance.
Location Information
GENERAL INFORMATION: The trail is a pleasant loop trail which travels through mixed pine and black oak stands and provides opportunities to observe wildlife. It also traverses a few Penny Pine plantations (replanted burn sites) and offers users occasional benches for resting.
