From Brush Creek Road, Travel two miles south of Crested Butte on Highway 135 to Brush Creek Road, Forest Road 738. Turn left and travel three miles east on Brush Creek Road to Farris Creek Road, 736. Turn left and travel one mile east on Farris Creek Road to Farris Creek Trail.
Location Information
The northern terminus of the Farris Creek Trail is accessible from Farris Creek Road a branch from Brush Creek Road. This trail is most popular with mountain bikers. Users of Farris Creek Trail might experience difficulty due to lack of signs and an unmaintained trail.

From Farris Creek Road the trail dips into the Farris Creek drainage the quickly begins to climb. The trail continues to climb for more than two miles. Approximately two miles from Farris Creek Road the Double Top Trail meets Farris Creek Trail. Shortly after this intersection Farris Creek Trail reaches its high point of 10,000 feet. The trail remains at 10,000 feet for almost a half mile then steeply descends into the Cement Creek drainage with many switchbacks. The southern terminus of the trail is the Farris Creek Trailhead located at an elevation of 8,760 feet.
