Directions
From Trout Lake, Travel north on Primary Forest Route 23 to Forest Route 80. Continue on 80 across the forest boundary and until it becomes Forest Route 8040. Take 8040 north to the Morrison Creek Campground where Shorthorn Trail begins. Follow this trail north for 2.8 miles, where it intersects Round the Mountain Trail. Follow Round the Mountain Trail northwest for approximately two miles to Looking Glass Lake Trail.
Location Information
The heavily used Looking Glass Lake trail leaves Round the Mountain Trail #9, descends south through rocky washes, rolling grades, and sparse timer to a small, shallow lake in a sub alpine setting. The lake sits at 5,580 feet elevation.
