Directions
From Cougar, Travel east on Primary Forest Route 90 to Forest Route 83. Follow 83 north past the Cougar Sno-Park to Forest Route 8100. Follow 8100 north until it ends at Forest Route 8123. Follow 8123 north to the Blue Lake trailhead.
Location Information
The trail leaves Toutle Trail #238 at the 8100-600 Road, crosses Forest Route 8100 and gently climbs to another junction with Toutle Trail #238. It continues to climb and then crosses the May 18, 1980 mudflow. The trail follows the west side of the mudflows and then turns west through a managed forest to where the trail junctions with Toutle Trail #238 one half mile south of Sheep Canyon Trail #240.
