Directions
From Dolly Copp Campground,, Travel past the campground entrance (Dolly Copp Road) to the very end. Begin on Gulf Link Trail and hike about 1 mile to Great Gulf Trail and hike about 2 more miles to reach Osgood Trail.
Location Information
Osgood Junction Trail begins at Great Gulf Trail along the northeast boundary of the Great Gulf Wilderness. The trail travels in a northerly direction overlapping the Appalachian Trail above Osgood Cutoff which offers access into the Wilderness and an entire network of trails. At this point in the trail lies Osgood Tent site. The Junction is reached in about 2 hours and 55 minutes where the hiker will see Daniel Webster-Scout Trail heading east. This trail descends to Dolly Copp Campground. The Osgood Junction trail leads to Mt. Madison, elevation 5, 366 feet in about .5 mile. This trail may be combined with Great Gulf Link, Great Gulf and Daniel Webster-Scout Trails to create a 9.5 mile loop.
