Directions
From Yampa, Travel S/SW on RD 7 for approximately 7 miles to FDR 900. Follow FDR 900 for approximately 10 miles to Cold Springs Campground on the right side of the road. The Smith Lake Trail begins at the campground.
Location Information
The Smith Lake Trail is located in the Bear River area southwest of Yampa. The trail begins in the Cold Springs Campground, crosses Cold Springs Creek and heads north to Smith Lake. It enters the Flat Tops Wilderness just below the south shoreline of Smith Lake.
