Directions
From Highway 126, Drive toward the Molly Gulch Campground located approximately 11 miles southwest of the small town of Deckers. Visitors can reach this campground by taking Highway 126 to Forest Developed Road 211. Continue driving on 211 past Cheesman Lake until you reach the campground on the left (east). Continue past the Molly Gulch Campground and Goose Creek Campground, which is approximately 1.5 miles past Molly Gulch on FDR 211, to a T road. This will be Forest Road 558. Turn right on 558 and travel approximately 1.5 miles to the Goose Creek Trailhead.
Location Information
The Hankins Pass Trail begins at Goose Creek Trailhead and ends at its intersection with the Brookside McCurdy Trail. It is located in the southern section of the Lost Creek Wilderness and provides access with many trails allowing opportunities for loop hikes. This trail offers views of active beaver ponds and access to granite crag formations. The trail is steep in parts with many switchbacks.
