From Barr Trail, From downtown Manitou turn west on to Ruxton Avenue and drive 1 mile to the trailhead. Walk up the Barr Trail 7 miles to the Elk Park Trail.
Location Information
Elk Park Trail leads from the Pikes Peak Toll Road to Barr Camp. It is one of a network of trails that spurs from Barr National Recreation Trail. Users may take a short spur to an abandoned mining town from this trail. The trail is rated easy if traveled from Elk Park to Barr Camp, and more difficult from Barr Camp to Elk Park. The elevation gain/loss is 1,680'.
