From Lake George, Travel northwest 1.2 miles on Highway 24; and then drive North 1.2 mi. on County Road 77. Travel northeast 0.7 miles on Forest Road 112 to the Happy Meadowns Campground entrance. Continue driving past the campground entrance 1 mile to the Platte River Trailhead.
Location Information
The Platte River Trailhead is located 1 miles north of Happy Meadows on State Road 112. The trail begins at an elevation of 7,800' and descends into the South Platte River Basin. The trail extends 3.5 miles to it's end at 7,500'.
