Centennial Bicycle Trail (669) leads from Woodland Park to Manitou Lake. The trail is used by hikers, bikers and cross-country skiers. Motorized vehicles are prohibited. This is a paved trail that parallels Highway 67 and offers beautiful views of the Manitou Park area. Bicyclists must yield to pedestrians. The Manitou Park area was a summer hunting ground for the Ute Indians. Profile: 8,475 + 8,040 + 7,880 + 7,800+ 7,760+ Manitou picnic ground has 42 picnic sites, toilets, drinking water during the summer, and a small lake open to fishing. There is a $3.00 parking fee per vehicle. Golden Age and Golden Access passes will be honored with a 50% discount. Temperatures are similar to Colorado Springs. Afternoon thunderstorms are common during the summer. Camping is available during the summer at South Meadows, Colorado and Painted Rocks campgrounds. Group camping at Red Rocks and Pike Community campgrounds.
