Directions
From the Broadmoor, Take the Old Stage Road from the Broadmoor passed it's intersection with Gold Camp Road. Travel approximately 9 miles or until you reach the intersection with Forest Developed Road 381. Turn right on 381 toward the Wye Campground. Drive passed the campground to the end of the graded gravel road. The Mount Rosa trail will be on the left side of the road.
Location Information
The Mount Rosa Trail climbs 11,499' Mt. Rosa in 1.4 miles. The Mount Rosa Trail proper begins on Forest Developed Road 381. A series of steep switchbacks takes the user from 10,000' to 10,900'. Follow the trail to the left as it forks and walk the ridge line to the summit of Mount Rosa. Foot, bike, and motorized vehicles are permitted on this trail.

The trail may also be accessed from St. Mary's Falls Trail. The steep switchbacks at the 6th mile make this a challenging route. The round-trip mileage is 12 miles.
