Directions
From La Veta, Travel 20 miles south of La Veta on Highway 12. then take Cordova Pass Road 46 to the designated trailhead.
Location Information
Apishapa Trail starts from the Cordova Road Trailhead and junctions after about 3 miles with West Peak Trail. Apishapa Creek is a dispersed camping facility that has no facilities. It is possible to make a loop using this trail, West Spanish Peak Trail and Wade Trail.

You pass through timbered areas and can then enjoy the vistas from the dikes as you cross them. The trail continues at a gentle grade The trail goes through an area of open ridgetops, then Bristlecone, Limber and aspen trees; the trail ends on a gentle grade.
