From Groveland, Travel eight miles on Highway 120, and then take a left onto Ferretti Road. Travel 2.5 miles, then turn right (immediately after Kings Road) and travel through the gate to the trailhead (.7 miles from the gate). Trail access travels through private property, visitors are asked to close the gate. The trail joins the Tuolumne River Trail downstream of the Clavey River confluence.
Location Information
Hamby Trail, located near the Tuolumne River in the Groveland Ranger District, is a strenuous, 3 mile trail with approximately 40 switchbacks. Aquamarine lakes and streams, delicate wildflowers, spectacular vistas, unique geological formations, and other scenic wonders await hikers in the Groveland Ranger District.
