Location Information
Fir Cap OHV trail is a very difficult 4 mile trail at an elevation of 6,500 feet. This trail follows the ridge line to Fir Cap. The first 0.5 miles on each end is fairly easy. It then becomes more difficult because of sections of loose rock are common. The area is quite brushy, and hidden rocks are common. The peak is very flat and rocky. It affords fantastic views of the Sierra Buttes to the east, Saddleback Lookout to the north, and Indian Valley to the west. Approximately midway on the OHV route, you cross a somewhat well used dirt road. If you head west on this road, it will take you back to the Saddleback Road.
