Location Information
Ute Peak Trail is a 15 mile trail which leaves from the Williams Fork Road (County Road 30), climbs up to the Williams Fork Ridge, and follows the ridge to Ptarmigan Pass. The trail is steep in parts below the ridge, however, once on the top the trail levels out. Water is not available on the ridge (other than by dropping down off the top) and users should be prepared for windy and cold conditions as well as the high altitude. The ridge offers excellent views of the surrounding mountains and the Continental Divide.

This trail can also be accesses from the Ute Pass Trail on the White River National Forest, Dillon Ranger District, leading from the top of Ute Pass.
