From Whitewater, Travel on Hwy 141 approximately thirteen miles to Divide Road #402. Big Creek Road #403 is approximately seven miles southwest of Highway 141, off of Divide Road. Big Creek road is approximately five and a half miles in length ending at the Basin trail head.
Location Information
Springtime fishing on Gill Creek is the best on the Plateau. The trail opens the last few days of May just in time for Memorial Day weekend. The trail is limited to the National Forest due to right-of-way beyond the boundary. Travel is restricted to hikers, horseback riders, and motorized vehicles under 40".
