Location Information
At 8.6 miles, this is the longest and one of the most difficult trails in the Sierra Ancha Wilderness. There are some major elevation changes on this trail. It may be vague and difficult to follow in some places. West to east (downhill) travel is recommended. Travelers may not be able to cross Cherry Creek when the water is high.
There is a beaver pond where the trail crosses Cherry Creek. There are interesting prehistoric ruins at points along the trail. Parts of the trail are very precipitous, and care should be taken.
