From Globe, Travel south on Forest Route 112 for about eight miles to the Lower East Mountain Trailhead.
Location Information
This trail was originally a toll road, built in 1883, to open a route through the mountains to Pioneer Mine. This trail offers scenic views of Upper Pinal Creek. The Copper Country Bushwhackers adopted this trail in 1983 and have rebuilt it with volunteer labor.

From the Lower East Mountain Trailhead the #200 Trail goes east, then heads northeast about 2/10ths mile to its junction with East Mountain Trail #214. Continue left on Trail #200 heading north. The trail turns to the right and crosses the creek, then winds along the east side of a steep canyon, through thick stands of pine. After another 1.5 mile, the trail crosses an old fence line. Two miles into the hike the trail intersects the Una Del Oso Trail #201. The Toll road trail continues north paralleling the drainage while the Una Del Oso climbs northeast up to Forest Road #112. After 3.5 miles trail #190 intersects on the left. At 4 miles there is a fence with a gate. (Please close gate after after passing through). At its northern end the trail meets Forest Road #138 (Six Shooter Canyon Road).
