From Young, Travel about 16 miles south on State Highway #288 to Forest Development Road #410. Take FR #410, (Reynolds Creek) 2.5 miles to FR #235. Turn left and travel 0.5 mile to Billy Lawrence Trailhead.
Location Information
From the Billy Lawrence Trailhead the trail climbs onto Center Mountain, joins the Reynolds Creek trail and terminates at the Reynolds Creek Trailhead #150. This trail offers access to the Sierra Ancha Wilderness, as well as, views of Cherry Creek and the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. Vegetation includes Ponderosa pine, Gamble oak, and manzanita brush. Wildlife includes the black bear, mountain lion, deer, elk and wild turkey. Parts of this trail are rocky and steep. This is a good horseback riding trail
