Directions
From Young, Access is from State Highway #288 (Young Highway) through the old Sierra Ancha Experimental Station Headquarters. There is parking at the trailhead, however, do not block roads if you park in this area.
Location Information
This is a scenic trail which climbs up an easy grade from the Young Highway into the Sierra Ancha. The trail is narrow and steep in some places and horses may have a rough time at some places where the trail has some tight turns. The trail follows Parker Creek with views across to Armer Mountain, Carr Peak and Grantham Peak. Wildlife in the area include black bear, deer and wild turkey.
