Location Information
The 1/4 mile Bajada Loop Trail is a relaxing, easy trail that is level and quite broad. It takes about one-half hour and is accessible for handicapped individuals. The trail features a self-guiding interpretive walk with identification signs. From the trail you can view the magnificent Santa Catalina Mountain range to the north and the Rincon Mountains to the east. Many different types of desert plants can be seen on the trail including Palo Verde and Mesquite trees, several varieties of the cholla cactus, and the Saguaro, also known as a Monarch with a Crown. A free trail guide which explains what you are seeing is available inside the Visitor Center.
