From Quincy, Travel east for 3.9 miles to LaPorte Road turnoff. Turn right and drive 7.3 miles. Turn right onto gravel road (23N92.) The sign states Lost Cabin Springs and Middle Fork Trails. Proceeds 2.1 miles to Y and take the left fork (23N92A) for 1 mile to Lost Cabin Springs. Follow signing here to trailheads. Four-wheel drive is recommended.
Location Information
The Lost Cabin Springs Trail is a 0.8 mile long and extremely steep trail at an elevation of 3,800 feet. This trail is on southern exposed slopes. There is limited camping at the river, and the there is good fishing and swimming. Hiking time is 45 minutes in and 1 and 1/2 hours out.
