From Graeagle, Travel south on Hwy. #89 for approximately 1.25 miles and turn right onto Primary Forest Route #24. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles and turn right onto the road to Gray Eagle Lodge. The trailhead is on the road to Gray Eagle Lodge. Trailhead T.22N., R.12E., Section 32.
Location Information
Smith Lake Trail (12E25) is an easy 2.5 mile hike at an elevation of 5,800 feet. This is a well maintained trail that climbs steadily past the Mt. Elwell Trail junction to Smith Lake. The trail extends on another 1.7 miles to the Jamison Creek Trail.
