Directions
From Santa Margarita, Travel Southeast on Pozo Road for about 18 miles to the junction with Forest Road 29S01. Turn right (east) and drive ten miles and turn right at the La Panza Summit and drive onto the Pine Mountain off-highway vehicle route (30S17) and the trailhead about a mile down the OHV trail.
Location Information
GERERAL INFORMATION: A 9 mile hike of moderate difficulty. The trail follows pine-covered ridge lines and the walk is pleasant though challenging. Memorable views include the Temblor Mountain Range, Carrizo Plains Ecological Preserve, Bear Trap Canyon, and Castle Crags. This trail is accessed via the Pine Mountain off-highway vehicle route (30S17).
