Directions
From Ukiah, Travel 6 miles north on US Hwy. #101, turn right (east) onto California Hwy#20 and travel for 5 miles. Turn onto County Road #240 and travel 26 miles northeast to Lake Pillsbury. Take Forest Route #20N01 around the Lake to reach the trailhead.
Location Information
Sunset Nature Trail is a .5 mile easy loop at an elevation of 1,800-1,900 feet. This self guided trail begins in the Lake Pillsbury area at Sunset Campground. The trail, adjacent to Sunset Campground, has a kiosk at the trailhead and provides interpretive signs along the route. Several chaparral and mixed conifer species make this an interesting trail for all ages.
