Directions
From Furnace Creek, Follow Highway 190 westward to Emigrant Canyon Road. Turn left on to Emigrant Canyon Road and follow it up the canyon to the Charcoal Kilns.
Location Information
The Wildrose Peak Trail leads northward from the Charcoal Kilns in the Panamint Mountains west of Death Valley. It begins at an elevation of 7,055 feet from the north end of the Charcoal Kilns Parking Area. The trail ascends slightly more than four miles to the summit of Wildrose Peak, which is approximately,055 feet.

The trail to Wildrose Peak is a good alternative to the Telescope Peak Trail when it is snow covered. Hikers will enjoy spectacular views of Death Valley beyond the two mile point. The trail is steep for the last mile. Carry water as none is available along the trail. The trail may be snow covered and icy from November through April.
