Location Information
Desolation Canyon Trail leads through a narrow gorge immediately east of Badwater Road. This route follows the stream bed; there is no trail. Hikers will be walking southeastward as they are lead to the source of the stream. Most hikers follow the canyon approximately one mile then return to the road via the same route. Follow the right fork as the canyon winds along the drainage in order to continue along Desolation Canyon drainage. This is a good hike during the cooler winter months.
