Directions
From Furnace Creek, Drive 6.5 miles north on Highway 190. The trail starts near the 104 mile marker and leads east of the road into the mountains.
Location Information
Indian Pass Trail begins on Highway 190 in Cotton Ball Basin. The trail leads eight miles one-way into the Amargosa Mountain Range. It ends at Indian Pass, elevation 2,950 feet.

Hikers should begin this hike near mile marker 104. Walk northeastward following the drainage nearest the ridge leading in the same direction. Bear northward following the drainage that leads toward the pass (low break) in the mountains to the east. The trail leads through a canyon for approximately four miles leading to the pass. Climbing to the top of the pass is difficult and extremely steep, as this is an unmaintained trail. Springs and bighorn sheep may be seen in the canyon. This trail is not recommended for summer use due to extreme heat. Bring lots of water.
