Location Information
GENERAL INFORMATION: The Chicago Camp Trail starts at North Yolla Bolly Guard Station and heads south down the ridge to its junction with #10W40 (Brooks Ridge Trail) on Brooks Ridge. The trail then continues on to Chicago Camp and its junction with #10W42 (Boundary Trail). Here there is an old cabin site and a spring which is good until midsummer. The trail then follows a ridge on out to Bear Wallow Camp where there is a spring that is good early in the year. From here the trail is very difficult to follow due to fire and cat trails. It is just a short distance to the junction with #10W41 (Powell Ridge Trail) where it leaves the Yolla Bolla Ranger District and continues 6 miles west to its termination at Horsehead Mountain.
