Location Information
Boardman Lake Trail is an easy 0.8 mile hike. The trail begins off Schweitzer Creek Road #4020 and ends at Boardman Lake. For those wanting a picnic stop near the road, Lake Evan provides a peaceful wooded setting. Most of the lake shore is too marshy for use, but just off the trail is firm ground. A backcountry toilet is provided near the parking area. Continuing on after 100 yards, the trail goes through dense old growth forest for 0.8 mile to the outlet of Boardman Lake. A rough, unmaintained user trail continues along the north and west sides of the lake. On the east shore of the lake is a campground with five campsites.
