Location Information
Crystal Lake Trail is a moderate 5 mile hike. The trail begins off Road #2710 and ends at Crystal Lake. Hikers planning a hike into Crystal Lake must plan on the 3.5 mile road walk to the trailhead. The lake is 1.5 miles beyond that point. The trail starts where an old logging road stops. Follow the trail through the bushes until it starts up through an old clear-cut unit. The trail bears to the left traversing the hillside which is rich with ripe huckleberries by late summer. At approximately one mile, the trail passes through old growth timber. The trail then passes Crystal Creek with beautiful cascading waterfalls. A gradual climb from the creek to the lake is expected for the rest of the hike. Trees, meadows and grassy marshland surround the lake. There are numerous camp spots nestled among the trees.
