Location Information
Dickerman Mountain Trail is a strenuous 4.3 mile hike. The trail begins 16.6 miles east of the Verlot Public Service Center and ends at the Summit of Mt. Dickerman. This trail switchbacks steeply for three miles through a dark forest of timber that was replanted in 1915 after a major forest fire. Then the trail rises above timberline to an alpine meadow which is covered with wildflowers in July and August. Spectacular views can seen in all directions as the trail continues to climb to the 5723 foot summit.
